Introducing... Lauren Bialkowski!
Lauren is a Marketing professional and a lifelong lover of eating good food! She is combining her love of marketing and passion for the hospitality industry through working at Joalia Group.
Who Am I?
I’m a Marketing professional and a lifelong lover of eating good food! From a young age, I’ve always had a passion for both cooking and baking, but decided to pursue my undergraduate degree at CUNY Baruch College for Marketing. Since graduating, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a green energy company, a non-profit focused on bridging the gap between business and sustainable & socially responsible sourcing practices, and oddly enough, an air conditioning company!
How Did I Get Here?
These were all such amazing experiences, but it felt like something was missing. So in 2018, I decided to further explore my love of the culinary arts and attend the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in New York City. After completing the program at ICE, I applied to work at Union Square Hospitality Group and got a position as a Line Cook at Untitled located in the Whitney Museum.
Heart in Hospitality
Working in the hospitality industry invigorates me! I love making people happy with the food I cook and I love making special moments more memorable through a meal. The hospitality industry is no joke though - early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, long hours on your feet - if you know, you know. As much as I loved working as a cook, I felt that combining my love of marketing and passion for the hospitality industry would best suit me. Fast forward to 2021 where I am thrilled to be a part of the Joalia Team as an Account Manager! No two days are ever the same - I’m constantly around creative chefs, industry professionals, and food! The best part is, I’m able to fully support NYC restaurants to help them continue thriving and reach their goals.
